From May 28–30, 2025, I participated in the International Conference on the Arts in Society: The Art of Hospitality, held at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA.

This annual conference addresses and discusses critical questions of our time in relation to the role of the arts in society. Presentations are given in the following categories:

Arts Theory and History

New Media, Technology and the Arts

Social, Political, and Community Agendas in the Arts

I have been presenting at these conferences since 2014. This year, I was planning to attend in person but decided not to do so when Trump was re-elected as President of the USA. Instead, I attended virtually to present my paper: In Search of Expression…

I plan to be presenting in person at next year’s Conference, at the National and Kapodistrian University in Athens, Greece, June 10-12, 2026.
